  The spa here is fantastic, probably the best I've been to. The pool has an open air section that allows you to swim out and feel the cold air whilst you're all warm in the heated pool. Despite being open air the walls are high so there are no privacy issues. Rooms at the hotel are clean and comfortable and the food is excellent. I look forward to going back again.

  On the outskirts of the city, only a 10 minute drive into the centre and easy access to the motorway. Plenty of parking on site. Some renovation work being carried out externally but nothing that impacted the stay. Clean and comfortable room, half decent shower. Free WiFi. Two on site restaurants, a Marco Pierre White steakhouse and the Garden/Terrace bar. Ended up at the Garden/Terrace bar, food was great and a nice selection. We had free drinks vouchers on check in so that kept the bill down. Cobb salad and squid were great. On site Spa but never used it. Nice quiet hotel for those looking at spending a little more.

  We recently used this hotel as a wedding venue and, though building works were going on it had zero effect on what we can only describe as the best day of our lives. The staff accommodated our guests with 5* service in both a wedding and hotel guest capacity. The food was amazing and if we had to do it all over again there's no way we'd think of anywhere else. Amazing day, amazing venue!
